Arthur The King is a larger-than-life adventure story that is based on true events. The movie adapts athlete and author Mikael Lindnord’s autobiographical book Arthur: The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home, which tells the story of the improbable bond Lindnord forged with a dog while on a 435-mile racing expedition. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg as Lindnord, was written by Lindnord and Michael Brandt (2 Fast 2 Furious) and directed by Simon Cellan Jones (The Family Plan).
