Journalists body UJA outs roadmap for World press freedom day commemoration activities

The body that unites all journalists in the country, Uganda
Journalists Association (UJA ) AND Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Media (UPFM)
have released a road of the activities
to be undertaken by journalists and other stakeholders to commemorate the World
Press Freedom Day due on 3rd May.
Unveiling the activities at Speke hotel Kampala, UJA
President Mathias Rukundo said they are set to have a number of activities that
will include inter-Media house sports gala that will be hold on 1st,
April at Philip Omondi Stadium Lugogo, Prayers, environmental initiative where
over 100,000 trees will be planted across the country, Face lifting camps,
parliamentary media quarterly magazine and a media dinner on the d- day of 3rd

and media dinner to further the unity of the fraternity, have a rest and joyful
time away from work deadlines and other work related stresses and hazards.

The World Press Freedom Day for 2022 will be commemorated under
the theme; “Journalism under surveillance: Much focus on digital challenges in
relation to media and Press freedom”.
