WOMEN’S DAY: 33 honored with golden jubilee medals

During this year’s 2022 international Women’s day celebrations, Uganda’s president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has awarded thirty three(33) women with golden jubilee medals at an event held at Kololo independence grounds in Kampala

 

The golden jubilee medal also known as 50th Uganda independence medal is awarded in recognition of outstanding services and loyalty to the country from October 9, 1962 to October 9, 2012.

Among those awarded include: Hajat Farida Kimbowa, the chairperson National women’s council and Dr. Ruth Senyonyi, formerly a counselloring psychologist at Bank of Uganda.

Among others awarded in civilian category include: Caroline Kego Laker, Vanessa Nakate, Grace Nakibaala, Florence Bonabana, Norah Njuba Bwaya, late. Prof. Francis A Miiro, Mary Musoke, Elizabeth Musoke Norah, Joan Nalubega, Beatrice Chelangnat, Margaret Ntakalimaze, prof. Henry Kasozi, Late. Yowasi Makaru Rwamango, Kazibwe Prossy Rebecca, Sr. Mary Gabriella Lutwama, Kateshumbwa Eunice, Oidu Anne Christine, late Penina Namasa, Dr. Zinaida Borissova, Dr. Konstantin Borissov.

Golden Jubilee (POLICE): SSP Namugenyi Rebecca, ASP Kiwanuka Sarah, IP. Nambozo Gladys, IP. Kasabiiti Mary, CPL Akello Stella

Honarary Medal: Mugume moses, Administrator Kisizi Hospital and Butamanya Robert
