Uganda’s Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo went tribal at the vigil of the fallen speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah in the of Wednesday at late’s home in Muyenga when he blamed those protested flying the speaker to USA for treatment questioning why they never protested against Kabaka “benefiting from the same arrangement.”

In the video that has gone viral on Social Media, The Chief Justice Owiny Dollo  said it was “super wickedness” for NUP supporters in the Diaspora to stage protests against Speaker Jacob Oulanyah’s flight to the US for treatment, asserting that the Kabaka of Buganda has also “benefited from a similar arrangement”.

Jacob Oulanyah was flown on a chattered flight at a cost of UGX1.7BN to Seattle in the United States for treatment, a move that stirred up a group of NUP supporters living in the Diaspora staging protests over the neglect of Uganda’s health system saying that instead the funds should have been invested in hospitals back home.

“You! you! you who were demonstrating, your ethnic leader was transported on a presidential jet to Germany using public funds. He was not entitled! You did not demonstrate. Is it because Oulanyah is an Acholi? Is it because he doesn’t speak your language? Only a wicked person can fight a person who is fighting for his life. Only a super-wicked person can fight the dead”  Dollo stated.

The Chief Justice was part of a delegation that travelled to Seattle -Washington and checked on Oulanyah before he breathed his last on Sunday.

However, facts are in August, 2021, the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II was not transported to Germany to get medication/ treatment of allergies on a presidential jet as asserted by the Chief Justice but rather KLM commercial airline.

Meanwhile, it should be recalled that following the demonstrations in US when Acholi parliamentary caucus on the 9th/Feb/2022 held a press conference and offered to refund 2BN public money used in taking Oulanyah abroad for treatment.
