Butembe Ssaza has reappointed Isaac "Ozil" Kitakule as head coach for the 2025 MTN Busoga Masaza football championship, alongside a revamped coaching staff.
Butembe Ssaza has officially announced the return of Isaac "Ozil" Kitakule as their head coach in preparation for the 2025 MTN Busoga Masaza football championship. The unveiling ceremony, led by CEO Salmin Saleh, took place at Bombay Magic in Jinja city.
This marks Kitakule's second stint with the team, having previously served as head coach in the last season before stepping down. He will be supported by Isaac Wahampi and Mugabi, who have been appointed as first and second assistant coaches, respectively.
"It’s an honour to return to Butembe Ssaza as head coach," Kitakule stated during the event. "Alongside my support staff, we are fully prepared and ready to take on this responsibility." Kitakule also serves as the head coach of Jinja Comprehensive School.
The coaching staff has been further strengthened with the addition of Shafic Kiiza as team trainer, Alamazan Kagawa as goalkeeping coach, and Farida Mutesi as statistician. Other key appointments include Innocent Kirunda (team doctor), Sharif Musana (field manager), and Ibra Muyinda (equipment manager).
The 2025 MTN Busoga Masaza championship will officially kick off on June 28, with hosts Budiope facing Bukono at Irundu Primary School in Buyende District.
