The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the match schedule for the forthcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), with the tournament set to kick off on August 2, 2025. The schedule includes dates and times for games, starting from the group stage all the way to the final.
Tanzania will initiate the tournament against Burkina Faso at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on August 2. As co-hosts, Tanzania will share the stage with neighbors Uganda and Kenya. For Uganda's part, the Cranes, who are in Group C, will begin their campaign against the last edition's hosts and finalists, Algeria, on Monday, August 4 (8PM EAT) at the Mandela National Stadium. The same day will see Niger face Guinea.
The other games for the Uganda Cranes are scheduled as follows:
- August 8, 2025 - Guinea vs Uganda (8pm EAT)
- August 11, 2025 - Uganda vs Niger (8pm EAT)
- August 18, 2025 - South Africa vs Uganda (8pm EAT)
The Group Stage will conclude on August 19. Quarterfinal games will be played between August 22 and 23. In addition to the Group C games, the Mandela National Stadium will also host one quarterfinal game, one semifinal encounter, and the third place play-off. The semifinals will take place on August 26, the third place playoff on August 29, and the final on August 30 at Moi International Sports Centre-Kasarani.2000
