Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey appeared in court on Tuesday, where he was granted conditional bail following charges of five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. During the hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court, Partey wore a black jumper and trousers while confirming his identity and acknowledging strict bail terms. The charges stem from a Metropolitan Police investigation launched in February 2022 after initial reports surfaced. Partey’s legal representative, Jenny Wiltshire, reiterated his denial of all allegations, stating he “looks forward to vindicating his name in court.” His next appearance is scheduled for September 2 at London’s Old Bailey.
