In Gulu, Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba arrived to review the current operations of the Uganda People's Defence Forces, engaging with local commanders and troops.
Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba made a visit to the 4th Division headquarters in Gulu yesterday, aiming to evaluate the ongoing operations in the region. Upon his arrival, he was greeted by Maj Gen Felix Busizoori, the commander of the 4th Division, along with other military leaders.
During his second day in Gulu, Gen Kainerugaba convened a meeting with Maj Gen Busizoori and brigade commanders who provided him with updates on the current activities, particularly focusing on operations in South Sudan and Eastern DRC.
Also present at the meeting was Maj Gen Keith Katungi, who oversees the adjacent UPDF 5th Division. Following discussions with the commanders, Gen Kainerugaba took the opportunity to address the soldiers actively engaged in various missions. He extended his congratulations to the new recruits, emphasizing that they have joined a distinguished institution.
In his address, Gen Kainerugaba highlighted the importance of maintaining the discipline that the UPDF is renowned for. He encouraged the troops to prioritize their well-being by staying fit and healthy.
