Crucial CAF Champions League Matchday 6: Quarter-Final Fates Hanging in the Balance
As the CAF Champions League group stage concludes, several teams face pivotal matches to secure quarter-final berths.
Kyadondo has introduced their 30-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Masaza Cup during a lively friendly match.
As the countdown to the 2025 Masaza Cup intensifies, Kyadondo, the 2008 champions, has announced their 30-man squad for the tournament. The squad presentation took place at the War Memorial Stadium Nakivubo, their new home, on Thursday, June 19th, 2025.
The event was highlighted by a thrilling friendly match between Kyadondo and the Uganda Cranes Select team, ending in a 1-1 draw. Ali Ssentongo scored for Kyadondo in the first half, with Kenneth Kimera equalizing for the Select side in the second half from a penalty kick awarded after a foul on Saidi Mayanja.
This friendly match served as a valuable opportunity for Kyadondo to assess their capabilities and enhance team unity. The team, placed in the Masengere group alongside Buweekula, Mawokota, Bugerere, Buvuma, and Bulemeezi, will kick off their journey on June 28th against Bulemeezi at Nakivubo.
Kyadondo last reached the finals 17 years ago when they clinched the title in 2008. Their most notable achievement since then was a semi-final loss to Buddu last year. The squad unveiled by Kyadondo boasts a mix of talent across all positions, including goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
The technical team supporting Kyadondo consists of Head coach Nyanzi Meddy, Assistant coaches Simon Masaba and Nsubuga Jackson, Trainer Yawe Ibrah, Kit man Ssenfuka Ronald, Fieldwork Assessment coach Kikka Arnold, and Goalkeeping coach Kato Ramadhan.
