Manchester United Poised to Secure £29m Midfielder as Rivals Shift Focus

Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of finalizing a deal for Swiss midfielder Ardon Jashari, as their rivals AC Milan have turned their attention to another target. The Red Devils, who have been actively seeking midfield reinforcements, now have a clear path to secure the £29 million-rated player.

Jashari, who was named the Belgian Pro League's MVP last season, had initially expressed a preference for joining AC Milan. However, the Italian club has now agreed to sign Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci for £19.6 million upfront, with an additional £1.7 million in add-ons, effectively ending their pursuit of Jashari.

With Milan no longer in the race, Manchester United are emerging as the frontrunners to sign the 26-year-old midfielder. Jashari’s technical prowess and athleticism align with the qualities that manager Ruben Amorim is seeking to bolster his midfield. The Swiss international’s potential arrival could mark a significant step in United’s summer rebuild.

In addition to Jashari, United have been linked with several other midfield targets, including Richard Rios and Warren Zaire-Emery. However, Zaire-Emery’s £85 million valuation by PSG could prove to be a stumbling block for the Red Devils, given their current financial constraints.
