Manchester United's latest acquisition, Matheus Cunha, has shared a touching anecdote about his admiration for the club's iconic number 10 jersey, revealing that he has a cherished piece of Marcus Rashford's Man Utd career hanging on his wall. The Brazilian striker, who recently secured the number 10 shirt at Manchester United, was overjoyed to see his name above the prestigious number.

Rashford's tenure with the number 10 jersey came to an end following a tumultuous fallout with the club's manager, Ruben Amorim, late last year. Cunha, 26, has long admired the number ten, having previously donned it at clubs like Hertha Berlin and Wolves.

In an interview with Man Utd's media channels, Cunha spoke about the legacy of the number 10 at Manchester United, expressing his respect for Rashford, as well as other legendary players such as Wayne Rooney and Louis Saha. He fondly recalled swapping shirts with Rashford and proudly displayed the signed jersey in his home.

Cunha made a significant impact with Wolves last season, earning 21 Premier League goal contributions in just 33 games. His impressive form drew the attention of Manchester United, who were in search of solutions to address their struggling output.

As the Red Devils' marquee signing of the transfer window so far, Cunha is eager to begin his pre-season preparations with the club, having already reported for his first training sessions. Manchester United will kick off their pre-season on July 19 against Leeds before traveling to the US for the Premier League Summer Series at the end of the month.
