Collaboration between Mowzey Radio, Spice Diana that started with a rejection
"I went to buy a song from him, but when I reached he said he won't charge me," Diana said in a media interview.
"He gave me a free song, which turned into a collabo. He told me he will write for me songs, you won't need to pay me. That's how we met and started working."
Spice Diana joined Goodlyfe on Kyuma, whose video now has 561k-plus views on Diana's YouTube channel.
The video, which was posted on February 10, 2018, was the last video Radio, who died on the first day of that month, participated in.
The song was produced by renowned music producer David Washington Ebangit, who has worked on a number of well-received projects with top musicians, including Adam Ne Kaawa (Bobi Wine), Eddiba (Juliana Kanyomozi), Gold Digger (Jackie Chandiru), Lonely (Bebe Cool) and Don't Cry (Wizkid ft GoodLyfe) and Love Letter (Lilian Mbabazi).
Radio, who would be 38 today, wrote music that resonated with people from all age brackets.
Even former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi loved his song Tambula.
Tambula Nange, or Walk with Me, is one of the few singles Radio, real name, Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo, sang without the other half of GoodLyfe, Wease Manizo, born Douglas Mayanja.
For songwriter Henry Ssekyanzi Ninsiima, better known as Nince Henry, Twalina Omukwano, the scintillating ballad Radio wrote for Julina Kanyomozi -- was the best in terms of execution.
"... it’s like the only Mozey song that was well executed vocally. Of course not perfectly but..." he tweeted recently.
