The Bad Boys franchise, which stars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith as its two charismatic leads, kicked off in 1995 with the Michael Bay-directed movie which received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success. This led to two subsequent sequels, Bad Boys II and Bad Boys for Life.
