FIFA's Club Management and Professionalization Programme has recognized Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club, as well as Cote D’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosa, in their recent global awards ceremony. Both clubs were applauded for their exceptional strategic plans submitted under this prestigious program, aimed at enhancing club management standards worldwide.
The announcement was made by FIFA Senior Professional Football Manager Picalló Aguilar Marcos, who highlighted the significance of this initiative in raising the bar for club management practices globally.
Allan Munaaba, the Chief Executive Officer of URA Football Club, expressed his appreciation for the recognition, stating, "As Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club, we are humbled in a special way for the FIFA Club Management and Professionalization Programme award." Munaaba, a former player at URA, emphasized the club's commitment to implementing their strategic objectives with the guidance and exposure provided by FIFA.
