Arsenal are currently engaged in talks with Chelsea regarding a potential transfer for forward Noni Madueke. The negotiations come after initial contact was made, with Madueke reportedly open to the switch across London. Personal terms are not anticipated to be a stumbling block if an agreement can be reached between the two London rivals.

According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Chelsea may need to offload players this summer to balance their finances, which could open the door for Madueke's move to Arsenal.

Last season, Madueke made 45 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists. He joined the Blues from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 and has since played 91 times for the club. His contract with Chelsea runs until 2030.

Arsenal have been on the lookout for a left-sided forward this summer, although Madueke primarily played on the right side of Chelsea's attack during the 2024/25 season. He only featured on the left side seven times and did not contribute any goals or assists during those appearances.

The Gunners have alternatives in the forward positions, including Real Madrid's Rodrygo, but Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri can fill the right-winger spot.

Chelsea signed Madueke from PSV Eindhoven for £29 million in January 2023. Despite having five years left on his contract, the Blues have bolstered their attacking areas this summer with the additions of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and Joao Pedro from Brighton, among others.

However, the likelihood of Arsenal signing both Madueke and Rodrygo remains uncertain, with Rodrygo being a more sought-after option given his reputation and accomplishments, such as being a two-time Champions League winner.

According to reports in Spain, Rodrygo is valued around £69 million (€80 million), which is significantly more than Chelsea's asking price for Madueke. Rodrygo's future at Real Madrid is uncertain under new manager Xabi Alonso, who has limited his playing time at the Club World Cup.
