Joao Gabriel, the Brazilian winger who scored 4 goals and provided 3 assists in 10 appearances for KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier League last season, has committed to remaining with the team for at least the next two years. The new contract will keep him at Lugogo until 2027.

Gabriel, affectionately known as "Gabi," expressed his delight at the extension, saying, "I am happy to continue my journey with KCCA FC. I have truly embraced the culture here and the passionate support from the fans. I feel at home in Lugogo, and I am eager to continue contributing to the team's success."

KCCA co-coach Jackson Magera is equally pleased to have Gabriel in their ranks for the long term. "Joao Gabriel is a player of exceptional talent, and we are pleased to have him commit his long-term future to KCCA FC. We believe he will play a pivotal role in achieving our ambitions in the upcoming seasons," Magera said.

Gabriel also scored one goal in the Stanbic Uganda Cup last season, making him one of the two players signed by Portuguese coach Sergio Traguil who is still with the club.
