Fulham defender Calvin Bassey has slammed officials for allowing Manchester United’s first-half goal to stand during Saturday’s 1-1 Premier League clash, accusing Red Devils center-back Leny Yoro of an illegal push in the build-up.

The match saw United take an early lead through a Rodrigo Muniz own goal before Fulham substitute Emile Smith Rowe leveled late with his first touch. However, Bassey argued the opener should have been disallowed after Yoro appeared to shove him while contesting a header near the six-yard box.

“What do you want me to do?! He’s pushing me in the back and the goal stands,” the Nigerian international fumed post-match. “If that’s not a foul, I don’t know what is. The referees have to do better.”

Replays showed Yoro making contact with Bassey’s shoulder moments before Muniz inadvertently deflected the ball into his own net. Despite Fulham’s protests, VAR did not intervene to review the incident.

The controversial decision proved costly as Erik ten Hag’s side dropped points in their pursuit of European qualification. Fulham, meanwhile, extended their unbeaten home run to five matches, with Bassey’s defiant performance underscoring their resilience.

Smith Rowe’s 89th-minute equalizer – a clinical finish after coming off the bench – salvaged a deserved point for Marco Silva’s men, leaving United seventh in the table and raising further questions about refereeing consistency in critical moments.
