Premier League clubs Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close watch on RB Leipzig's rising star Xavi Simons, who is said to be eyeing a move to England this summer. The 22-year-old Dutch midfielder has reportedly tasked super agent Ali Barat with securing a transfer to an English club that can offer him Champions League football.

According to German publication Bild, Barat, who was awarded the Golden Boy for Best Agent in 2023, is expected to approach Chelsea and other Premier League teams on behalf of Simons. Both Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be "attentive" to the potential deal, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Simons' current club, RB Leipzig, failed to qualify for European competition this season, prompting the player to seek opportunities elsewhere. Chelsea, who have already made significant signings this summer including Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, could further bolster their squad with Simons. The Blues are also reportedly targeting Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers as a top priority.

While Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also been linked with the Dutch international, Simons is said to prefer a move to the Premier League. A product of Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, Simons spent nine years at the Catalan club before moving to Paris Saint-Germain. He joined RB Leipzig in January after a loan spell, with the transfer fee reportedly around £43 million. Simons is currently valued at £60 million.

This isn't the first time Simons has been linked with English clubs, as Liverpool and Manchester United have previously shown interest in the talented midfielder. Known for his early fame, Simons had already amassed 2 million Instagram followers by the age of 16. During his time at La Masia, he was nicknamed "Golden Curls" and even met his idol, Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez.

As the summer transfer window heats up, all eyes will be on where Simons lands, with Chelsea and Arsenal emerging as strong contenders for his signature.
