Conor Benn is setting his sights on a WBC world title fight at welterweight after securing a unanimous decision victory over Chris Eubank Jr in their middleweight rematch. Benn, who has been campaigning above his natural weight class, is eager to return to 147lbs and pursue a championship opportunity, with Mario Barrios being his initial target.

"I fancy Mario Barrios for the WBC world title," Benn stated, also mentioning other potential opponents such as Ryan Garcia, Rolly Romero, and Devin Haney. "All of them can get it any day of the week and twice on Sundays."

Benn's trainer, Tony Sims, praised his fighter's performance, noting the significant progress Benn has made since his debut. "He boxed outstanding. He's come from a complete novice into a world-level fighter. He jumped up two weights and beat a world-class fighter," Sims said. The trainer also revealed that the plan is to drop down to welterweight and secure a world title at Benn's natural weight.

The WBC belt is particularly appealing to Benn due to his father Nigel Benn's legendary career, which included holding the WBC championship. "It's the belt I would love to win," Conor Benn said. "It would be some moment for me."

In their highly anticipated rematch, Benn, the son of Nigel Benn, took revenge for his previous points loss to Eubank Jr. He became the first Benn to defeat a Eubank, knocking his opponent down twice in the 12th round en route to a unanimous decision win.

Benn expressed his desire to put the rivalry with Eubank Jr behind him, ruling out a trilogy fight. "Done. Done," he said. "I can see him asking for a rematch, but ultimately I think we should just let it lie now. We've done what we had to do. We sold out a stadium twice. Let's just call it a day now."

Benn acknowledged the personal challenges he has faced, including overcoming his first professional loss and dealing with daily struggles. He concluded, "I feel like I'm going to go home and cry. It's been hard, facing my first loss, coming back from adversity. That's the hardest fight really."
