In a major move that has sent ripples through the boxing world, undefeated Dominican middleweight sensation Euri Cedeño, famously known as "La Bazunk," has signed a long-term co-promotional agreement with Top Rank and King’s Promotions.

The announcement was made on May 21, 2025, in Las Vegas, marking a significant milestone in the young fighter’s career. Cedeño, a 25-year-old southpaw, has already made a name for himself as one of the most promising power punchers to emerge from the Dominican Republic. His journey to this point has been nothing short of remarkable, beginning with his representation of his homeland at the Tokyo Olympics.

Since turning professional in October 2022, Cedeño has amassed an impressive record of 11 wins, with 10 of those victories coming by way of knockout. The co-promotional deal will see Top Rank and King’s Promotions work together to guide Cedeño’s career as he aims to climb the ranks of the middleweight division. His next fight is scheduled for June 7, 2024, at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, where he will face Ecuador’s Abel Mina in a 10-round bout

. This fight will be part of an action-packed undercard leading up to the WBO lightweight world title clash between reigning champion KeyShawn Davis and former title challenger Edwin De Los Santos, which will be broadcast live on ESPN. Cedeño’s addition to the roster further solidifies Top Rank’s commitment to nurturing talent from the Dominican Republic. He joins a growing list of Dominican standouts, including Elvys Rodríguez, Rohan Polanco, and Yan Santana, who have all made significant strides in the sport under the guidance of the renowned promotional company. Top Rank Chairman Bob Arum expressed his excitement about the signing, stating, "Euri Cedeño is one of the most complete fighters to come out of the Dominican Republic in recent years. He has the amateur pedigree, the composure of a seasoned veteran, and all the tools to become a real threat in the middleweight division." Marshall Kauffman, CEO of King’s Promotions, echoed Aryum’s sentiments, emphasizing the potential for Cedeño to achieve greatness.

"We believe we have a future star in Euri Cedeño. With the guidance of our team, including matchmakers Brad Goodman and Bruce Trampler, we are confident he will win multiple world titles." Cedeño’s journey to this point has been shaped by a deep-rooted passion for boxing, instilled in him by his late father, Aquino, a renowned trainer in the Dominican Republic. Inspired by his father’s legacy, Cedeño began boxing at the age of five and quickly rose through the ranks, accumulating over 400 amateur fights before making his professional debut. Despite a brief setback in October 2023, when he fought to a draw against undefeated Cuban fighter Dayan Depestre, Cedeño has remained undeterred. He bounced back with a decisive victory over Yoanki Urrutia in December 2023 and has since added five more stoppages to his record, including a first-round knockout of Ulices Tovar Rivera in March 2024.

As he prepares for his next fight, Cedeño remains focused on his ultimate goal: becoming a world champion. "It’s a great honor to join Top Rank’s incredible stable," he said. "This opportunity is the result of years of hard work, but there’s still a long way to go. I’m ready to take the next step in my career and make my dreams a reality." With the backing of two of boxing’s most respected promotional companies, Euri Cedeño is poised to make a significant impact on the sport. Fans can expect fireworks when he steps into the ring on June 7, as he continues his quest to cement his place among boxing’s elite.
