The 2025 USSSA Games, which also features Cricket, Baseball & Softball, Ludo, Gymnastics, Chess, and Scrabble, among others, has seen the debut of Futsal. On Monday, 14th July, match day 3 of the USSSA Ball Games 2 Futsal competition took place at the St Peter's College main playground.
A total of 11 goals were scored across three games, with Kyadondo SS dominating St Mark's College Namagoma 5-1. Joseph Junior Jude netted a brace, while Eric Ssebadduka, Lukman Sajja, and Michael Kizito found the back of the net for Kyadondo SS. Henry Muwanguzi scored an own goal for St Mark's College Namagoma.
St Francis Busunju secured their second win of the championship with a 2-1 victory over Seroma Christian High School. Collins Talemwa scored both goals for St Francis Busunju, while Stephen Ongera scored the consolation for Seroma Christian High School. St Francis Busunju had previously beaten St Mark's College Namagoma 5-2 in their first game.
The highlight of the day was the 1-1 draw between Mukono Kings and Kakungulu Memorial. Sudiki Buluma scored for Mukono Kings, and Frank Nsereko replied for Kakungulu Memorial. Both teams remain unbeaten with 7 points each after three games.
With match day 4 scheduled for Tuesday, 15th July 2025, Mukono Kings and Kakungulu Memorial will continue their fierce battle for dominance in the USSSA Ball Games 2 Futsal competition. The USSSA Ball Games 2 also features U-14 and U-16 normal football, Rugby 7's, Basketball (3X3 and U-16 for 5X5), Athletics, Cross Country, Volleyball, Handball, Netball, DanceSport, Beach Soccer, Lacrosse, woodball, and Beach Volleyball. The USSSA Ball Games 2 are a precursor for the FEASSA Games due in Kakamega city, Kenya next month.
