After much speculation and negotiations, Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United. The 24-year-old has agreed to a six-year contract with the north London club, keeping him at the club until 2031.

West Ham initially rejected an £50m bid from Tottenham last week, but the Hammers eventually agreed to a £55m deal, with the midfielder's £85m release clause being triggered.

Kudus, who joined West Ham in a £38m deal from Ajax in August 2023, made 65 Premier League appearances for the Hammers, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists.

Speaking to the club's social media channels, Kudus expressed his excitement about the move, saying, "I have always wanted to play at the highest level, and Tottenham offers me that opportunity. The club's history, Champions League participation, and the coaching staff make this a dream come true. I can't wait to start."

Kudus may not be the only new face at Tottenham, as Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is set to undergo a medical at the club on Friday ahead of a £60m move.

Kudus was a crucial player for West Ham since his arrival, making his top-flight debut as a substitute in a win over Luton Town in September 2023. He scored his first goals for the Hammers in the Europa League group stage shortly after.

In his debut season with West Ham, Kudus scored 14 goals, including 9 assists. Sources close to the BBC Sport revealed that Kudus prioritized a move to Tottenham despite interest from at least six other top clubs.

One of the reasons Kudus chose Tottenham was the presence of head coach Thomas Frank, who replaced former Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou last month. The midfielder believes that working under Frank is an excellent opportunity to develop his skills further.

Kudus stated, "From where [Frank] has come from, and seeing the amount of talent he has developed to become great players, it's a big sign as to why I wanted to work under him as well."

With the arrival of Kudus and potentially Gibbs-White, Tottenham fans are excited about the upcoming season under the guidance of new coach Frank.
