Gospel singer Gloria Mulungi Senyonjo, popularly known as Baby Gloria, is preparing to walk down the aisle with her fiancé, Mbaleka Jonas. The couple's traditional introduction ceremony, known as kwanjula, was held on Friday and attended by close family and friends.
Following the event, Gloria's mother, veteran gospel artist Betty Nakibuuka, shared with the media that her daughter will enter the marriage as a virgin, a decision she made with her mother's blessing. Nakibuuka revealed that Jonas presented a goat during the kwanjula ceremony, a tradition signifying Gloria's purity.
"Gloria is a virgin," Nakibuuka stated proudly. "I advised her to get married as a virgin, just as I did. I encourage all my daughters to follow this path."
Nakibuuka also offered words of encouragement to young women who may have made past mistakes, asserting, "Even if you have erred in the past, I believe God can restore your purity."
The couple is now eagerly preparing for their wedding, marking the official beginning of their marital life together.
