Luke Humphries crushed Paul Lim 3-0 in a commanding performance during the second round of the World Darts Championship on Monday night. Meanwhile, Gian van Veen and Nathan Aspinall also secured victories, advancing to the next stage of the tournament. The second-round action continues on Tuesday, with live coverage on Sky Sports Darts starting at 12:30 PM and 7:00 PM.

Humphries, the World No. 2, was in scintillating form, averaging 109 in the opening two sets before finishing with a 97 average. He lost only one leg to the veteran Lim, who is known as the 'Singapore Slinger'. Humphries' clinical scoring and finishing left Lim with little chance to threaten his opponent, despite the crowd's support for the 71-year-old.

"I had to come out and fight him because the crowd were going to be on his side," Humphries said after the match. "I wanted to win 3-0 in sets, but I'm glad he got a leg in the end there." Humphries will now face Germany's Gabriel Clemens in the third round.

Van Veen, one of the tournament's dark horses, continued his impressive run with a 3-1 victory over Scotland's Alan Soutar. The 23-year-old Dutchman recorded the highest average of the championship so far (108.28) and will next face Latvia's Madars Razma.

Fan favorite Nathan Aspinall also progressed to the third round with a 3-0 whitewash of Leonard Gates. Despite not being at his best, Aspinall won each set 3-1 and will play Kevin Doets in the next round. The afternoon session also featured a thrilling tie-break between Ricky Evans and James Wade, with Evans emerging victorious 6-4 in the deciding set.

Tuesday's action at the World Darts Championship kicks off with Jonny Tata facing Ryan Meikle, followed by Daryl Gurney vs. Callan Rydz and Jermaine Wattimena vs. Scott Williams. The afternoon session concludes with a clash between two-time world champion Peter Wright and Germany's Arno Merk.

In the evening, Danny Noppert takes on Justin Good, Gary Anderson faces Connor Scutt, and Michael van Gerwen plays William O'Connor in what is expected to be one of the round's standout matches. The day's action concludes with Josh Rock's match.
