In a thrilling encounter at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, ISBAT University secured a convincing 3-1 win against Busitema University in their University Football League (UFL) match on Friday. The victory marked ISBAT's first win in the 2025-26 UFL campaign.

The hosts created several scoring opportunities, with Mugisa Kahuma hitting the woodwork in the 38th minute after being set up by Daniel Akantambira. However, it was Bahirah Katende who broke the deadlock in the 41st minute with a well-timed finish from Daniel Akatambira's cross. Katende doubled the lead at the hour mark, courtesy of a precise pass from Brian Obai, who had a memorable evening.

Allan Onekgiu sealed the win for ISBAT with a solo effort from distance, scoring in the 83rd minute. Although Gerald Oola pulled back a goal for Busitema University, it was too little, too late, as ISBAT University held on to secure a well-deserved victory.
