Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) have announced their involvement in a case involving singer Chosen Becky’s fiancé, Ssekajja Abdul Qadir, after serious allegations were brought against him. In a statement, KMP spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed that the police are examining claims from Qadir’s former partner, Rashida, who alleges he has neglected and defiled their child.
Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the validity of the accusations. The case has drawn significant attention, particularly after Hon. Balaam Barugahara, the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, summoned Qadir to his office to address the same allegations. The minister reportedly granted him a 12-hour window to respond and provide an explanation.
Public discourse has been divided, with many awaiting the outcomes of both the ministry’s and police inquiries. Onyango emphasized that the matter is being handled with urgency and transparency, while officials have called on citizens to refrain from speculation and allow the legal process to unfold.
As the investigation progresses, the spotlight remains on Qadir and his relationship with Chosen Becky, who has not publicly commented on the situation. The case underscores ongoing concerns about child welfare and accountability in high-profile circles.
