Ibrahim Kasinde, the latest addition to the Sports Club Villa squad, has celebrated his first trophy with the Jogoos after emerging victorious in the 2025 FUFA Super 8 championship. The championship win marked a promising start for Kasinde at SC Villa, a 17-time record winner of the Uganda Premier League.
In the final held at the FUFA Kadiba stadium in Mengo, SC Villa secured a convincing 2-0 victory over NEC Football Club, with Kasinde scoring alongside Reagan Mpande. Notably, Kasinde's goal was against his former club, NEC FC, making the win even more special.
Expressing his gratitude and joy, Kasinde said, "I am exceedingly overwhelmed for this overall performance and victory." He dedicated the triumph to his family, stating, "I dedicate this victory to all my family members; my father, mother, sisters, and brothers. They have supported me in all possible ways."
Before joining SC Villa, Kasinde had played for Solitlo Bright Stars and NEC Football Clubs. He has also been part of the Uganda U-20 and U-23 teams, with the ultimate goal of progressing to the senior national team.
With the 2025-2026 Uganda Premier League season approaching, Kasinde and his SC Villa teammates are working diligently to build on their momentum from the Super 8 championship win. The team's focus is now on achieving success in the upcoming league season.
