Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) has made a significant move in the transfer market by securing Ivan Ahimbisibwe as their first signing of the 2025 window. The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 1, through the club’s official social media channels, with the statement: “Our first signing is locked in.”

Ahimbisibwe, known by his nickname “The Hunter,” expressed his excitement about joining the Uganda Premier League giants. “Hello Citizens! My name is Ivan Ahimbisibwe, the Hunter, and I can’t wait to get started,” he said in a confident tone.

The signing comes as KCCA FC seeks to fill the void left by Shaban Muhammad’s departure. Ahimbisibwe, a prolific striker, is expected to take on a key role in the team’s attacking lineup. During the recent UPL season, he netted 16 goals, finishing just three behind the league’s top scorer, Allan Okello.

Ahimbisibwe’s football journey began at Synergy FC before he moved to Nyamityobora, where he spent a considerable portion of his career. He later played for UPDF FC and URA FC, where he signed a lucrative deal. The striker will now reunite with coach Brian Ssenyondo, with whom he previously worked at both Synergy and UPDF.

This acquisition marks a strategic step for KCCA FC as they aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. Fans are eager to see how “The Hunter” will perform in his new colors and contribute to the team’s success.
