Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has finalized Kenya’s 25-player squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to begin in August 2025. The South African coach announced the roster on Wednesday, with the tri-nation tournament co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania launching its delayed edition next year.

Veteran defender Abud Omar will lead the team as captain, supported by deputies Daniel Sakari and Alphonce Omija. Kenya faces a challenging Group A lineup, competing against DR Congo, Angola, Morocco, and Zambia. The squad’s opening match against DR Congo on August 3, 2025, at Nairobi’s Moi International Sports Center kicks off a packed schedule, followed by clashes with Angola (August 6), Morocco (August 9), and Zambia (August 12).
