Morocco has set the pace by becoming the earliest team to touch down in East Africa for the TotalEnergies Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024. The Moroccan squad, victorious in 2018 and 2020, landed in Nairobi, Kenya on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Group A, which includes host country Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and DR Congo, will see Morocco begin their campaign against Angola on Sunday, August 3, at the Nyayo National Stadium. The other Group A contenders, DR Congo, Angola, and Zambia, are scheduled to arrive in Nairobi within the next few days. Zambia is expected on Tuesday, while the DRC and Angola will follow on Thursday afternoon.
This edition of CHAN 2024 marks the first time the tournament is collectively hosted by three nations – Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania under the name Pamoja. The tournament will kick off on Saturday, August 2, in Dar es Salaam and conclude on August 30 at Moi International Stadium, Kasarani.
