SC Villa has booked their spot in the semifinals of the 2025 FUFA Super 8 tournament after a hard-fought 0-0 draw against KCCA in the second leg of their quarterfinal tie at the FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, on Friday evening.
The Jogoos entered the match with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg and managed to preserve their aggregate lead despite a goalless stalemate. While SC Villa dominated possession and created several scoring opportunities, they struggled to find the back of the net, with KCCA’s defense holding firm.
Hassan Mubiru proved to be a constant threat, causing trouble for KCCA’s backline with his runs, but his deliveries lacked a finishing touch as SC Villa’s attack missed a clinical edge in the final third. The best chance of the first half fell to Rogers Mugisha, whose shot narrowly missed the target after a setup by Brain Jjara.
In the second half, SC Villa continued to push, with Charles Lwanga coming close to breaking the deadlock, only to be denied twice by KCCA’s resilient defense. Despite the lack of goals, the Jogoos’ defensive solidity ensured they maintained their aggregate lead.
SC Villa will now face defending champions BUL in the semifinals, setting up an intriguing tie in the competition. The victory marks another step forward for the Jogoos in their pursuit of silverware this season.
