The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has confirmed that Senegal will be participating in the upcoming Four-nation Pre-Chan tournament, stepping in for Congo Brazzaville, which had to withdraw due to logistical issues. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Arusha from July 21-27, 2025, aimed at preparing the co-hosts Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania for the upcoming events.

The tournament will kick off with Kenya's Harambee Stars playing against Uganda Cranes, while Tanzania will take on Senegal on July 21st.
On Match Day 2, Senegal will face Uganda, and Tanzania will compete against Kenya on July 24th. The tournament will culminate with Kenya playing Senegal and Uganda facing Tanzania on July 27th. The opening match between Uganda and Senegal will set the tone for the event, followed by Kenya's Harambee Stars challenging Tanzania later that day.
