Jannik Sinner has emerged victorious at the Paris Masters, beating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) in the final. The win marks Sinner's first Paris Masters title and sees him reclaim the world number one ranking from Carlos Alcaraz.

The 24-year-old Italian's triumph extends his unbeaten run on indoor hard courts to 26 matches, dating back to the 2023 Davis Cup Finals. Sinner's victory has also propelled him 250 points clear of Alcaraz in the rankings ahead of the season-ending ATP Finals.

The rivalry between Sinner and Alcaraz has been a defining feature of the men's tennis tour this year, with the pair winning the last eight Grand Slam tournaments between them. Their dominance is evident in the rankings, with the gap between Alcaraz and third-ranked Alexander Zverev being greater than Zverev's total points.

Sinner, who will be defending more points than Alcaraz at the ATP Finals, said: "It's not only in my hands, but I'm of course happy [to return to number one]. The goal was to go day by day, trying to maximise my potential, which I have done."

The Italian champion dominated the final, conceding the fewest games on his way to the title since the event switched to hard courts in 2007. He won 93% of points on his first serve in the opening set and was untroubled on his way to capturing the first set.

In the doubles final, Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara defeated Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool 6-3, 6-4 to claim their first ATP Masters 1000 title together. Meanwhile, Alfie Hewett won the inaugural wheelchair men's singles title, beating Gordon Reid 7-5, 6-7 (4-7), 6-0.
