Former Tottenham chairman Lord Alan Sugar has publicly urged the club to pursue Jurgen Klopp as their next manager, as current boss Thomas Frank faces intensifying criticism following Sunday's crushing 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest. The loss marks Tottenham's third defeat in five league matches, dropping them to 11th place in the Premier League standings.

Fan Outcry After Forest Rout

Callum Hudson-Odoi's brace and Ibrahim Sangare's strike sealed a dominant victory for Forest, sparking outrage among Spurs supporters. Disillusioned fans flooded social media with demands for Frank's dismissal as the team languishes in the bottom half of the table.

"With the Lewis family's resources, hiring Klopp in January would be a win-win," Sugar posted on X. "Top-tier management plus transfer funds – who agrees #coys?"

Frank Admits Team Shortcomings

The Danish manager conceded his side's poor performance post-match: "We were disjointed from the first goal onward. Losing duels, constant turnovers – it's unacceptable. Forest deserved their victory today."

Klopp's Availability in Question

Despite Sugar's endorsement, Klopp's potential appointment faces hurdles. The German tactician stepped away from management after leaving Liverpool in 2024, later joining Red Bull as head of global soccer. Red Bull executive Oliver Mintzlaff recently stated: "Jurgen's committed to this role. While he might return to coaching someday, he's currently focused on our projects."

Real Madrid had also been linked with Klopp, but the 56-year-old appears content in his current position, leaving Tottenham's managerial future uncertain as pressure mounts on Frank.
