The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games 2 will take place in Tororo district from July 10 to 19, showcasing a diverse array of 20 sporting disciplines. The event, hosted by St Peter’s College Tororo and Tororo Girls School, will bring together students from across the country to compete in sports such as rugby, basketball, athletics, football, and more.
Boys will be accommodated at St Peter’s College Tororo, while girls will stay at Tororo Girls School. The games will feature three demonstration sports: cricket, gymnastics, and baseball & softball. Among the highlights, rugby 7’s will be held at Elgon View Primary School, while basketball 3x3 and U-16 5x5 matches will take place at Tororo Girls School and St Peter’s College Tororo, respectively.
Athletics events will be hosted at King George Memorial Stadium, and cross-country races will run through the Tororo Golf Course. Volleyball, beach volleyball, futsal, and handball will be held at St Peter’s College Tororo’s sports ground. Meanwhile, chess, ludo, and scrabble competitions will take place at Tororo Girls School’s multi-purpose hall.
Other venues include the Uganda College of Commerce for woodball, Tororo Parents Primary School for lacrosse, and the Reproductive Health Uganda Youth Centre for dancesport. Football matches for U-16 and CAF U-14 categories will be spread across eight locations, including Manjasi High School, Datic Tororo, and King George Memorial Stadium.
The official draws for all competitions will be held on July 10, 2025, with matches commencing the following day. The USSSA Ball Games 2 serve as a precursor to the FEASSA Games, scheduled to take place in Kakamega, Kenya, the following month.
This event promises to be a celebration of youth talent and sportsmanship, with Tororo district playing a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of athletes.
