Netballer Lindah Muzigo, a student at Uganda Christian University (UCU) Mukono, is set to graduate with a Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA) this Friday. Apart from her netball career, Muzigo also plays handball and basketball. In the latest Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards for June 2025, Muzigo was honored as the best netball player.

Speaking to the media at Lazio Restaurant in Kololo, Muzigo expressed her gratitude for the award. "I am happy for the award. It is not an individual award but rather a testament to the collective effort of my team, UCU Angels," she said. Muzigo's stellar performances in the 48-37 and 60-42 victories over UPDF and Busia respectively during the national league were key to her winning the award.

Muzigo defeated her teammate Alice Isoto and Shafie Nalwanja from KCCA to clinch the award. "This is a good motivation for me and the team. I appreciate the organizers for pushing us to improve our performances for the team," Muzigo added.

Frank Nyembo Fataki, a player from Sommet Basketball club, won the basketball award, while Peruth Chemutai was the top athlete. Deo Akope, professional golfer and chairman of Uganda Professional Golfers Association, received the life-time achievement award.

Muzigo's team UCU Angels currently have a fantastic season, losing only one game in the national league. Despite losing to record champions National Insurance Corporation (NIC), Muzigo believes the award is a motivational tool for the team to strive for better performances in the future.

The Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards have been held since 2018. The crowning ceremony was graced by Nakawa East Member of Parliament Hon. Ronald Nsubuga Balimwezo, who hinted on the importance of protecting open spaces where sports are held. Real Stars Executive Director Isaac Mukasa, Jude Colour Solutions' Henry Zzimbe, and Fortebet assistant laisons manager Resty Mbatidde Namugema were also present at the event.
