A highly anticipated Uganda Premier League encounter between Express FC and Calvary FC has been postponed indefinitely due to unforeseen stadium issues.
The league secretariat announced the delay on Monday, December 1, 2025, following an official notification from Express FC regarding the temporary closure of Hamz Stadium in Nakivobo. According to the statement, the venue requires "urgent and critical maintenance work," scheduled to begin Tuesday, December 2, and last approximately 48 hours.
"We have received formal communication from Express FC concerning the unavailability of their home ground," the league’s statement read, adding that a rescheduled date will be announced as the season progresses.
Express FC currently sits 12th in the league standings with 9 points from 8 matches, while Calvary FC remains at the bottom of the table with just 1 point after 7 games.
