Renowned Ugandan musician Shafik Walukagga, known professionally as Fik Fameica and head of Fresh Gang Entertainment, has delivered an impassioned appeal to young people grappling with substance misuse. During a recent discussion on escalating drug trends, the "Kutama" performer emphasized switching destructive habits for nourishing options.
"I implore youth entangled in drug or toxic substance abuse to abandon these immediately—they’re lethal," Fameica stated. "Replace them with hydrating alternatives like water, sodas, milk, or yogurt for your wellbeing."
When questioned about his personal history with narcotics, the artist firmly denied any involvement. "I’ve never experimented with drugs—the thought terrifies me. Not even milder stimulants like miraa," he asserted.
His counsel arrives amid growing concerns over substance addiction devastating young lives, particularly among public figures. Fameica’s stance reinforces the entertainment industry’s potential role in fostering healthier lifestyle benchmarks.
