Ugandan midfielder Benjamin Ayebale has secured a transfer to Spanish club Union Popular de Langreo, marking a significant step in the 20-year-old's burgeoning career. The versatile attacker signed a one-year contract after departing from Rayo Vallecano C, where he featured in Madrid's regional leagues.

Langreo officials have highlighted Ayebale's exceptional adaptability and technical prowess, noting his capacity to excel both as a creative playmaker and dynamic winger. The Ugandan prospect previously honed his skills at Kampala's Olympia Sports Academy before gaining European experience with Getafe's Under-19 squad.

"This represents another leap forward in Benjamin's journey. His dedication, discipline, and unwavering belief continue to inspire all at our academy," stated Olympia's official farewell message.

Founded in 1961 and based in Asturias, Union Popular de Langreo competes in Spain's Segunda Federación – the fourth tier of national football. The club hosts home matches at Estadio Ganzabal, a 4,024-capacity venue in La Felguera, approximately 20 kilometers southeast of Oviedo.

Ayebale's move underscores the growing pipeline between African academies and European clubs, with the Ugandan joining Langreo's squad ahead of the 2025-2026 campaign.
