In a lopsided National Basketball League (NBL) matchup, the Victoria Crocs secured a commanding 84-54 win against the struggling KIU Titans at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday evening.
The first quarter saw both teams trading baskets, but the Crocs managed to gain a slight edge, leading by four points (17-13) after the opening period. The second quarter proved to be the turning point as the Crocs extended their lead to 11 points (39-28) by halftime.
The Titans showed brief resistance in the third quarter, with Ambrose Olum sinking a crucial 3-pointer, but the Crocs maintained a comfortable 15-point lead (58-43) heading into the final period. The last quarter was a dominant display by the Crocs, who cruised to a 30-point victory.
Chuol Nyuot was the standout performer for the Crocs, scoring a game-high 21 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Bienfait Lola Minami and Erick Komagum both contributed 14 points each. For the Titans, Hon Kwany was the lone bright spot, recording a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds.
The victory solidifies the Crocs' position in the league, while the Titans' relegation fears grow following this decisive loss.
