Vipers SC returned to winning form in the Uganda Premier League, securing a impressive 3-1 victory over BUL FC at St. Mary's Stadium, Kitende, on Saturday. This win came after two consecutive draws for the home side.
The first half of the match was relatively uneventful, with both teams creating some opportunities but lacking the precision to find the back of the net. The deadlock was broken shortly after the interval when Enock Ssebagala scored a stunning goal in the 48th minute, much to the delight of the home crowd.
However, BUL FC swiftly equalized just seven minutes later through Jerome Kirya, reigniting the contest. Vipers SC wasted no time in responding, earning a penalty in the 57th minute when Milton Karisa's header struck a BUL FC defender's hand. Abdul Karim Watambala calmly converted the penalty in the 59th minute, restoring Vipers' lead.
Usama Arafat added further gloss to the scoreboard with another well-taken goal, ensuring Vipers SC's victory. The win propels Vipers to second place in the league standings with 21 points from nine games. Meanwhile, BUL FC remain in 12th place with 10 points after ten matches.
