Author Rick Riordan provides an update on The Kane Chronicles adaptation, his Percy Jackson and the Olympians spinoff trilogy. After the mega success of his Percy Jackson novels, which turned the history of Ancient Greek gods and goddesses into fun historical fiction, Riordan turned his attention to Ancient Egypt with The Kane Chronicles. This spinoff book series, which includes three novels and follows adventurous siblings Carter and Sadie, was originally slated to become a trilogy of films at Netflix. Riordan revealed earlier this year, however, that Netflix cancelled development on the project.
