Iran Remains Defiant Amid Reported Nuclear Site Damage
In the midst of reported strikes on its nuclear sites by Israel, Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation (AEOI) spokesman, Behrouz Kamalvandi, has emphasized the resilience of the country's nuclear knowledge. Kamalvandi was quoted by Iran's official news agency IRNA saying, "We have suffered damage, but this is not the first time that the industry has suffered damage." He further added that the roots of Iran's nuclear industry are deep and cannot be easily destroyed.
Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, echoed the sentiment, asserting that Iran's nuclear program is built on domestic knowledge that cannot be eradicated through bombing. This comes amidst tensions in the region as Israel reportedly carried out strikes across Iran.
Despite the reported devastation, the Iranian officials remain steadfast in their stance that their nuclear capabilities are enduring. The situation continues to evolve, with updates expected as the situation unfolds.
