She has outlined her priorities, focusing on strengthening economic integration and promoting climate-resilient growth.

Nduva stated, “Your Excellencies, in promoting peace and security, a secure East Africa is the foundation upon which we can build lasting prosperity.” She emphasized the importance of addressing climate change collectively as a region, highlighting green energy, sustainable agriculture, conservation efforts, and resource mobilization as key areas of focus.

Regional Support and Challenges

President Museveni congratulated Nduva and expressed his reservations about eliminating non-tariff barriers to harness the EAC federation’s potential. He highlighted the importance of national consultations on the political federation of the EAC, urging other member countries to follow South Sudan’s lead in this initiative.

In conclusion , Nduva’s appointment is a pivotal moment for the EAC. Her focus on economic integration and climate resilience is expected to bring transformative changes to the region. By promoting collective efforts to tackle climate change, Nduva aims to ensure sustainable development and long-term prosperity for East Africa.
