Cillian Murphy opens up about how he feels about movies made by frequent collaborator Christopher Nolan that don’t include him as a cast member. Murphy has starred in nine of Nolan’s features, beginning with Batman Begins in 2005 as Jonathan Crane, the twisted psychiatrist otherwise known as the Scarecrow, a role he would reprise in Nolan’s two other Dark Knight trilogy movies. Murphy and Nolan have both earned widespread acclaim from critics and audiences for their 2023 wartime biopic Oppenheimer, which explored the life of the father of the Atomic Bomb.
