Mace Windu can be a controversial character because he was frequently so critical of Anakin and was willing to make tough calls, including attempting to assassinate Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Despite any back-and-forth about his choices, though, it’s undeniable that Mace Windu is one of Star Wars’ most powerful Jedi.
