Somewhat based on the true story of a bear that died after consuming cocaine, the movie follows a bear that becomes exceptionally violent after ingesting cocaine. The bear then proceeds to search desperately for more drugs, all while human smugglers try to recover the cocaine and stop the rampaging bear. The movie was a financial success, having earned $90 million on a budget of approximately $30 million.
