Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba made an official visit to the 4th Division headquarters in Gulu yesterday to evaluate the ongoing operations in the region. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Maj Gen Felix Busizoori, the commander of the 4th Division, along with other high-ranking officers.

On the second day of his visit, Gen Kainerugaba convened a meeting with Maj Gen Busizoori and various brigade commanders who provided updates on the current military activities, particularly focusing on operations in South Sudan and the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Also present at the discussions was Maj Gen Keith Katungi, who leads the nearby UPDF 5th Division. After the briefing sessions, Gen Kainerugaba took the opportunity to address the soldiers engaged in multiple operational duties.

In his address, he congratulated the new recruits for joining the UPDF, emphasizing the importance of their role in such a prestigious institution. Additionally, he reminded the troops of the significance of maintaining the discipline that the UPDF is renowned for and encouraged them to prioritize their health and fitness.
