"Next Reboot Thanks": Original The Crow Director Responds To Bill Skarsgård’s Remake Look

Bill Skarsgård’s look in the The Crow reboot has sparked a reaction from Alex Proyas. Proyas was the director of the 1994 movie adaptation of the The Crow comic series, which starred the late Brandon Lee. The new version, which was directed by Rupert Sanders, stars Skarsgård as musician Eric Draven, who is resurrected as The Crow to seek vengeance after he and his fiancée (FKA Twigs) are killed. When images from the movie were released showcasing Draven with face tattoos and shorter hair, they were lambasted on social media and negatively compared to Joker’s look in 2016’s Suicide Squad.
