Following the surprise confirmation of the sequel, JK Simmons has revealed when The Accountant 2 will begin filming. Acting as a follow-up to the sleeper hit 2016 action-thriller, the sequel will see Ben Affleck return as the titular autistic protagonist who is pulled out of hiding by Treasury Department agent Marybeth Medina to help her track down the murderer of her former boss. Alongside Affleck, the movie features the return of stars Simmons, Jon Bernthal and Cynthia Addai-Robinson, as well as director Gavin O’Connor and writer Bill Dubuque.
